In 2010, Finnriver Farm is pleased to offer our unique CSA again, featuring the diversity of products grown, milled, fermented and crafted at here at our 33 acre organic family farm in Chimacum's Center Valley. Our specialty offerings will complement a standard vegetable CSA or your retail produce shopping.
What we offer is an array of diverse food items from a healthy and sustainable local source that can provide you with two seasons of wholesome and flavorful food, as well as supporting local farm economy. A CSA connects you to your local farmers and gives you a taste of the elements that nourish the fields.
This year we will be offering two 20-week CSA seasons: Summer (June - September) and Winter (October - February).
Currently, only summer shares are available for purchase. More information about winter shares will be available later.
The summer season will consist of 10 shares delivered every other week. Shares will be available for pick-up Wednesday afternoons on the farm or at the PT Farmer's Market.
Summer shares cost $800, which is a minimum of 10% savings over regular prices.
A typical CSA share will include the following certified organic or sustainably crafted goods:
- 2 Dozen Eggs from our free-ranging hens
- 1 Freedom Ranger Chicken (a French, heritage breed with a longer, healthier growing season)
- 1/2 flat mixed organic berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and more)
- 1 package organic Spelt Pancake Mix, or Cracked Grain Cereal, or Fresh Milled Flour, or Wheat Berries
- 1 bottle of hand-crafted Hard Cider, fruit Wine or non-alcoholic fruit Tonic
CSA members also receive membership into the Finnriver Berry Collective, our blueberry U-pick program, with 25 pounds of U-pick blueberries included.
If you choose to join this year, we ask a deposit of $200 upon sign-up, and the remainder by the beginning of June.
