Visit Finnriver

Taste Life on the Farm
Visit Finnriver and you will encounter a working farm and Cidery that welcomes guests to share in our life on the land. The fields may be furrowed, fruiting or frozen but, whatever the season, we will greet you gladly and invite you to become a friend of the farm. We want folks to help us revitalize our culture's commitment to sustainable family-scale agriculture. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you here.
We welcome you to come visit! There are several ways to experience what we grow.
Gathering & Event Information (PDF).
Tasting Room
At the Finnriver Tasting Room, you can sip a sample and purchase our handcrafted sparkling hard ciders. Tour the Cidery and we'll share what we know about the tradition and art of fruit fermentation. In mid-summer of 2010, we will offer an expanded variety of hard ciders as well as dessert wines and liqueurs. Tasting Room Hours from November-April are Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm. From May-October we're open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 1:00-5:00 pm.
Grain Mill
Following in the footsteps of his ancestors, Keith is growing wheat, buckwheat, oats and rye in fields up and down the valley, as well as sourcing spelt and emmer from eastern Washington family farms. If you have not experienced this variety of healthful and flavorful grains, come get a taste. For the freshest flour and a lesson in milling, you can come to Finnriver this summer and mill your own grains with our hand or pedal powered mills-- or purchase our flours, cracked cereals and pancake-waffle mixes at our Tasting Room.
Huckleberry House
For an extended taste of wholesome life on the farm, come stay at the HUCKLEBERRY HOUSE!
Farm Walks
Rubber boots encouraged! To learn about life on the land, you can walk the fields, amble in the orchards, check out the chickens, saunter down to the stream, and make buddies with the bees. The farm's bounty changes with each season and we invite you to explore. Self-guided farm tours are available year-round. Extended private tours are available seasonally for groups. Contact us for rates and reservations.
Chimacum Valley Picnic
We want visitors to the Chimacum Valley be able to taste the bounty of our region. Visit local markets and farmstands and stock up on fresh, seasonal, organic food grown with care. The Chimacum Farmer's market is open on Sundays and you can also visit nearby Red Dog Farm and Mystery Bay Farm. When supply allows, we will have fresh eggs, berries and produce available. Juice and snacks are generally for sale in our Tasting Room. For groups of 10 or more, we can assemble your picnic baskets with artisan bread, cheese, produce and more; group picnics must be pre-ordered a full week ahead of time. Rates and availability vary by season.
Culinary Tours & Feast in the Fields
Finnriver is friends with several fine chefs who can cater farm fresh feasts in the fields. See the farm calendar for seasonal culinary events. Or talk with us to create a custom summer feast or to arrange a culinary tour-- for groups of 10 or more. Catering options include woodfire pizza from Dented Buoy or local cuisine with Chef Stark of Cultivated Palette Catering.
Celebrations & Farmstead Adventures
We seek to build healthy, joyful community here at the farm, as well as to revive agricultural traditions. Throughout the year we host seasonal celebrations such as our mid-winter Apple Wassail, the fall Jefferson County Farm Tour, and our summer outdoor films at the "Wild Rose" Theater. View our event calendar to learn more. Small groups can also contact us to arrange hands-on "farmstead adventures" such as apple pressing or bottling champagne.
Birthday Special
Come visit the farm during the week of your birthday and you can pedal our bike-mill to make your own complementary, fresh whole grain flour for your birthday cake! You can also receive 10% off any select bottle from the Cidery.
