Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Reports To:
Head Cidermaker/Senior Production Manager
Level: T3
Supervises: Warehouse Coordinator
Hours: FT 30-32 hours/week
Pay: $24-28/hour
Position Summary
Finnriver sells its incredible cider, brandywine, gift sets and merchandise via a wide range of channels, including our own Cider Garden tasting room, 20+ farmers’ markets, wholesale distributors in six states, and direct to consumers, including Finnriver Cider Club members, in 30+ states, online.
Growth in product volume across channels this year necessitates adding a detail-oriented logistics manager to our team. This role will interface with the production team and its primary buyers to ensure orders are scheduled and fulfilled accurately and on-time, including coordinating trucking and distribution logistics, shipping orders placed online by customers, overseeing quarterly shipments to club members, and fulfilling specialty orders like those to media or partners.
The Sales & Logistics Coordinator will use a variety of business-critical software systems and interface with a precious group of stakeholders: both our highest volume, direct individual customers, and club members.
The role will report to the Production Manager & Head Cidermaker, and operate as part of the Production/Warehouse Branch. To be successful this person needs to understand Finnriver’s production workflows and shipping protocols in detail, become a power user of all related software systems (Vinoshipper, WineDirect, UPS, EKOS, Encompass, texting platforms, etc.), bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the collaboration skills necessary to function as an intermediary within a myriad of internal and external stakeholders, all while keeping orders shipping accurately and on time.
In addition, this role will support the fulfillment of direct-to-consumer online orders, by providing shipping-related customer service via email and text, and supporting the set-up of Finnriver’s quarterly cider club shipments, in cooperation with the Cider Club Manager.
This is a 30-32 hour/week position with room to grow.
Finnriver ferments with a land-based and community-oriented mission. Our mission is to celebrate the beauty and bounty of the earth, to reconnect people to the land that sustains us and to grow community. We are also committed to increasing and upholding equity, inclusion and justice in our work together. We seek colleagues who embrace our purpose and bring their unique perspectives and passion to the role.
